What exactly does Chekkai do?+
Chekkai offers two core features. First, AI fact-checking & validation — it verifies whether claims in AI-generated text (from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) are accurate using real-time web search, providing trust scores, evidence, and source links per claim. Second, AI content detection — it analyzes writing style, vocabulary, and structural patterns to determine whether text was written by AI or a human.
Is AI-generated content always accurate?+
No. AI models like ChatGPT and Claude can 'hallucinate' — generating plausible-sounding but factually incorrect information. Common examples include citing non-existent research papers, wrong dates or statistics, and fabricated events. Chekkai was built specifically to catch these errors in real time.
How accurate is the AI fact-checker?+
Chekkai combines Claude AI with Serper real-time web search for verification. It performs well on factual, searchable claims, but very recent information or claims with no web sources may be marked as 'Unverifiable.' Results are for reference purposes — for critical decisions, we recommend supplementing with expert review.
What is the difference between AI Detection and Fact Check?+
Fact Check answers 'Is this content accurate?' AI Detection answers 'Was this written by AI or a human?' They serve different purposes. Use AI Detection to check if a student paper was AI-generated, and Fact Check to verify whether an AI-generated report is factually correct.
How many free checks do I get?+
The free plan includes 10 fact-checks and 10 AI detections per day, up to 3,000 characters each. A free account is required, and sign-up takes about 30 seconds.
Can I upload PDF or Word files?+
Yes. Pro and Master plan users can upload PDF and DOCX (Word) files directly for fact-checking or AI detection. The file is converted to text and then analyzed. Maximum file size is 10MB.
Which AI models can be fact-checked?+
Any AI-generated text can be verified — including output from ChatGPT (GPT-4, GPT-3.5), Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and others. Chekkai works with any text regardless of the AI tool that produced it.
What does Pro plan include beyond the free tier?+
Pro includes unlimited checks (no daily limit), up to 10,000 characters, full evidence and source links, check history, and PDF/Word file upload. Master adds triple-engine cross-checking (GPTZero + Sapling + Claude) and no character limit.
Is my input text stored or used for training?+
Fact-check and detection results are saved in your history if you're logged in (Pro and above). Text is sent to the Anthropic API for analysis and deleted immediately after processing. Your input is never used for marketing or model training purposes.
How long does analysis take?+
Fact-checking typically takes 10–20 seconds (including real-time web search). AI detection takes 5–10 seconds. Times may vary based on text length and server load.
